India's civil war

Today I thought of writing a post about a the Tunisian uprising, before writing it I googled for the list of African civil wars .I found a page about India's civil war.Wikipedia showed India in state of civil war because of naxalites and separatist. So I changed my search parameter to India's civil war I found pages which said civil war in India imminent and it would lead to the disintegration of the country.I found that someone had written a book about it.I see articles about shiv sena and Sangh parivar causing civil war.Even this recent flag fiasco makes me think of the civil war.But you know what screw them.We saw riots,we saw holy places being destroyed,we saw many wars but we are still united. All these incidents are only roadblocks in the path of democracy. We must,we have and will overcome these problems. We Indians may hate one other,we may steal from one another or from the government but we love our country.Winston Churchill once said that we will not  stay together as a nation but we proved him wrong,we are rising superpower.Hitler was once asked what he would need to conquer the world he said he needed an American air-force,a British navy and an Indian army. Why? because the America had the best air-force,Britain had the best navy and no other soldier was willing to sacrifice his life for his country like an Indian soldier. When our country is challenged whether it is a terrorist or a cricket match we stand up to support our country.Just pay a a visit to the Wagah border gate see the way the our people cheer the BSF jawans when they go to close the gate.Look at our freedom fighters they fought for India not for any ethnic group, not for any region, not for any individual or for any religion.Bhagat Singh   died for India, the INA(Indian National Army) fought for India ,Gandhi lived only for India. The world can say we are in civil war but we will always stay united.Every Indian is patriotic in his/her heart although they don't show it.Those Indians who say they hate India are not Indians and can never be one.

Developing Gods own country

I was happy to read that Gujarat  was able bring in 15 L crores of investments during the vibrant Gujarat mela.We have to appreciate Mr Modi's efforts in transforming Gujarat to what it is today.I wish I could see the same amount of progress in other states as well ,especially my own state Kerala.I was a born in Abu Dhabi and did my schooling there.I used to visit Kerala during my summer vacation.I used to hate the place. It was far cry from my my A/C secure home back in Abu Dhabi. But as I grew older I learnt to appreciate my state.A state with a strong socialist background it had accomplished many things which other states are still struggling to achieve. An excellent literacy rate, good healthcare facilities and vigilant police force are some Kerala's best achievements. The socialist wave washed away the tyranny of landlords. The workers were given their rights and were treated as human being.Gender equality flourished. The so called Kerala model did what rest of India was struggling to achieve. But everything was not like a bunch of flowers. The Kerala model brought in human development but not economic development.

A lot of Keralites (including my father) work abroad. The driving forces of our economy is foreign remittances. We have to take leaf out of Gujarat's book try to to bring in more investments. We have a large coastline whose potential we not tapping. We could develop our ports(apart from Cochin) and bring in a lots of revenue.I really surprised of not finding any shipbuilding culture. For a race of people how used to travel the seas and trade with Romans and Greeks it is very surprising that such an industry does not exist(I not very well versed in Kerala's high seas adventures if i did make any mistake let me know).I think we should encourage fish farming ,maybe that will give a boost to the fishing industry(sorry Mr Jairam Ramesh lets hope it doesn't destroy the environment).I remember some scientist trying to generate electricity  by using ocean currents, Kerala should encourage such research.Speaking of electricity generation,I think the areas of the western ghats(like Munnar) could use wind farms to generate electricity. We have used Kerala's natural beauty to generate revenues in tourism bit there is lot more that can be done.I think the tribals of the forest can help us take tourism to the next level. We need to put in more infrastructure in our tourism industry.Kerala has a strong independent women workforce .If this workforce is shown the right path we will see the rise of many small scale industry. We should try to revive the fallen loom industry in Kannur.I'd loved to see a prosperous Kerala.I have more ideas ro share and I will share them in my next post.

Living in a fantasy

“The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge.”- Albert Einstein

Living in a fantasy, how awesome would that be!!Imagine being Greek Demi-God or a pirate(lets not consider capt. Jack Sparrow) or a superhero.imagine doing all the heroic deeds, enjoy living life ,not like the mundane task we have to perform everyday. The best thing about our fantasy is we never get judged by anybody,we could be like James Bond and do the most crappiest action sequences and there is not going to be any pressure. Our inner child makes the impossible possible ,we have no limits, no restrictions ,make works of arts without any boundaries. But the fantasy will remain only in our minds.

Now lets us assume that one fine day we just fall into our fantasy world, our dull environment gets replaced by a colorful and exciting world that we created in our minds. We get to unleash our inner child and live the way
we want, breaking the barriers of control. It could be like living in our own paradise.I wish I could create an ancient city(like Rome,Babylon ,Alexandria or all of them combined together) with all the old world charm and be its king.I guess that's my inner child  speaking.Any way we all have our inner child and its fantasy. But how many of us get to live it.There are some people of can change their surroundings to their dreams(like athletes, scientist, great leaders etc) but for the rest of us we have our fantasy.

Anger volcano

"Beware the fury of a patient man"-Publilius Syrus

Patience one of my greatest curses.Try to act as the nice guy and the world pushes you over.Listen to others,do their will and you go down under. There are times where I feel like ripping of somebody's head. That whats wrong with patient people ,we bottle up our anger and one fine day we just explode like a volcano. The next thing we know we are some outcast, like we belong to a  'never be angry' society. They say, 'An idle mind is the devil's work shop', well I say the anger in a patient man is the devil's war factory. The thoughts that have come to the mind, makes 'rakhta charitra' a kids movie.Gouging people's eyes out, breaking somebody's head with a rock, buying an AK-47 killing everybody in your path. Those who finally get the courage to do this end up as the psycho killers we hear on the tube. But letting your anger out brings some kind of satisfaction to the mind. You feel like a Pepsi bottle giving out its fizz.So do we bottle up our anger and release it all together or should be angry 24X7 and dole out bits of our anger instantly.Well I don't know! But I know this I like being the nice guy ,try to listen to the world rather then scream at it.Help others with a smile. But unfortunately become a product of our environment, product of anger. There is hardly any room for Utopia. We live in a  violent world we need to be angry or we get pushed down to the underworld. So patient people out let the anger flow out like lava from a volcano.
